Aria Hotel Budapest Named #1 Hotel In The World

Torontonians eagerly awaiting the opening of Hotel X Toronto, overlooking Lake Ontario on the Exhibition grounds, now have even more reason to be excited. The Aria Hotel Budapest, sister hotel of Hotel X Toronto and part of the Library Hotel Collection, has been named #1 Hotel in the World in the TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travelers’ Choice Awards.  The musically themed Aria Hotel Budapest was also named #1 Luxury Hotel in Europe and Hungary.  Winners are chosen from reviews written by millions of visitors to the TripAdvisor site, who contribute in an uncensored, open forum.

According to owner, developer and president Henry Kallan, dedication to exemplary service is in the Library Hotel Collection’s DNA, and the same award-winning approach will be evident at Hotel X Toronto when it opens in the summer of 2017.  “We are both honoured and humbled that our Aria Hotel Budapest has been recognized by TripAdvisor as #1 in the World in the Travelers’ Choice Awards.  We made the decision many years ago to use TripAdvisor as a tool to connect with our guests in a very real way, and to guide us as we focused our efforts on 100% guest satisfaction.  The TripAdvisor reviews of the Aria Hotel Budapest are proof that we chose the right path and we are especially proud of this award because it reflects what our actual guests are experiencing when they stay with us.”

“In Toronto, we are developing a hotel on a site that is of cultural importance to the city” added Kallan. Exhibition Place is full of fond memories for families – sporting events, the CNE, the beautiful waterfront. We take our stewardship role seriously and look forward to demonstrating to the people of Toronto—and the rest of Canada—how we have earned the trust of our guests and the recognition of travellers on TripAdvisor.”

“TripAdvisor relies on the experiences and opinions of our travel community to determine the winners of the Travelers’ Choice Awards for hotels,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “Travellers planning 2017 trips can find inspiration for some of the best places to book around the world from this diverse group of outstanding accommodations.”

Aria Hotel Budapest by the Library Hotel Collection is a luxury hotel and architectural masterpiece designed by Zoltán Varró featuring four distinctly designed wings of musically inspired guestrooms and suites. Each room and suite celebrates a musical legend in the genres of opera, classical, contemporary and jazz with four distinct décor styles. The whimsical musical design invites guests into the Music Garden Courtyard with a tile floor in a majestic piano key design sheltered by an innovative transparent glass ceiling. The drama continues above with breathtaking views of Budapest from High Note SkyBar, the city’s only year-round, rooftop garden venue.  The SkyBar not only offers stellar cocktail and dining experiences, but also Harmony Rooftop Yoga, a favourite for local Harmony Spa patrons as well as hotel guests. Centrally located in the historic city centre, the property is a short walk to the Chain Bridge and adjacent to St. Stephen’s Basilica. Aria Hotel Budapest offers travellers the utmost in luxury with an onsite Musical Director, Kornél Magyar, who serves to connect travellers with local musical and cultural experiences tailored to the preferences of each guest.

In addition to receiving the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, Aria Hotel Budapest has also been awarded the Condé Nast Traveler 2016 Readers’ Choice Award for Top Hotel in Central Europe and ranked top 10 Best City Hotels in Europe in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards for 2016. The Library Hotel Collection was recognized for an astonishing 96.1% guest satisfaction rating, the highest in the world in ReviewPro’s 2016 Top Luxury Hotel & Brand Report.

The Library Hotel Collection was awarded with a windfall of 18 Travelers’ Choice Awards not only for Aria Hotel Budapest, but also Aria Hotel Prague, the Hotel Giraffe and Casablanca Hotel by Library Hotel Collection. The placements were in the categories of Best Hotels, Best Luxury Hotels, and Best Romance Hotels in Czech Republic, and Best Hotels and Best Service in USA.
