The Cocktail: A Caribbean Margarita

We’re stirring up the good times from Gansevoort Turks + Caicos with their TCI Jerk Margarita! It’s a classic with a kick.

Ingredients

For Margarita:
1 part Cointreau
1 part Agave Nectar
1 part Lemon Juice
2 parts Tequila Herradura Anejo

For Special Salt:
5tbs Turks & Caicos native salt
¼ Lemon Zest
¼ Lime Zest
Jamaican Jerk seasoning paste (cinnamon, scotch bonnet, thyme, cilantro, soy sauce, orange juice)
Preparation: mix all ingredients and let them dry for 24hrs

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake well and pour into a glass rimmed with “special salt”
